Real Estate Virtual Assistant Series “Drowning Out Complacency” – Part Three

Just posted on Active Rain: Real Estate Virtual Assistant Series “Drowning Out Complacency” – Part Three

This post talks about how to lull yourself out of complacency via continued education. You’re never too old to refresh your skills!

What’s In A Name? Apparently, a lot of trouble…

An unfortunate real estate agent in Northern Virginia has happened across a bit of trouble. You’ve heard of identity theft? Well, this is Google Identity Loss or ??? I don’t know, what would you call it? A professional real estate agent in Northern Virginia has lost her rankings on Google to someone else with the same name, and apparently someone with a less than stellar reputation! I reserve judgement, but wanted to share the story…read about this Northern Virginia real estate agent, Carolyn Capalbo, and her trials here.

Part Two of “Drowning Out Complacency” Series now up on my Active Rain blog.

As a real estate virtual assistant, the topic of this post is one that I see happening over and over…it’s sad and frustrating the way some real estate professionals treat their leads. Please go read my post and leave a comment…I love comments :-) This post is about CRM systems and how they should be USED…not just collecting dust. Check out Part Two of “Drowning Out Complacency”, written by your very own real estate virtual assistant! See you there!

“Drowning Out Complacency” – The Series, Part One

Did you get a chance to check out the first post in new blogging series on Active Rain, “Drowning Out Complacency”? As a real estate virtual assistant, I often see real estate agents who are stuck in a rut, so to speak. They continue on in the same pattern, while dreaming of different results…chances are slim that will ever happen. I hope to see your comments on my blog series…let me know what you think!

What Grade Does Your Website Deserve? This Real Estate Virtual Assistant Shares Her Report Card!

There is a website out there called WebsiteGrader.com where you can put in your URL and even your competition’s URL, and it will give you a general “report card” for your website. I think it provides a good fundamental point for improving your website’s performance.

My “website” is really a WordPress blog, and this tool worked just fine for me, so don’t count yourself out just because you might not have a traditional stand alone website. I’m not saying that everything they tell you is golden in this report, but I do think it is a good starting point to work from. I am one of those people who like a list that tells me what to do. My real badge is on the home page of my real estate virtual assistant website if you want to see it where it belongs :-) Submit your website for a progress report today!

Real Estate Virtual Assistant Points Out New Article in Mr. Internet’s Blog

I was reading the newest email from Mr. Internet, linking us to a few of the latest and greatest articles on his blog, and this one caught my mind. It is entitled, “Social Networking is Here to Stay…Are You Connected?”, written by Carrie Gable…a good read, nothing earth-shattering…but good info.

Real Estate Virtual Assistant Suggests Using An Editorial Calendar to Stay On Track With Your Blogging Efforts

We all use calendars already, right?  Sure we do!  The problem is, there are so many options available to us that many people have bits and pieces scattered over various calendars, which makes it very hard to stay on track.  There are old fashioned wall calendars, desk blotter calendars, “Dayrunner” type calendars in our paper organizers, calendars on our computers, calendars on our hand held gaming systems even, and of course, calendars on our cell phones / PDAs. Now, I’m not here to tell you that one calendar is any better than any of the others…I AM here to tell you that everyone is different and you need to use what will work best for you and your daily schedule.  For most people, because we’re on the go constantly, that is going to be either the “Dayrunner” type calendar or the calendar that is on your cell phone / PDA. ...read more »
